Organizers of „Helping Latvian Children in Need” in London, but more importantly, children from 7 Latvian crisis centres, Latvian SOS Children village and NGO Zvaninieki, wanted to thank all of you, who have been so generous with donations, both monetary and in kind:

-          £3,090 have been collected during the Dec 2009 Charity Ball and from other contributors. The attached table details how the money was spent and with which local Latvian producers/retailers we teamed up (we - with the donated funds and they - with their discounts), to deliver what the respective centres enquired for;

-          £200 worth of board games purchased in London charity shops and children books purchased in discount book shops have been received as a gift

-          200kilos (440lbs) of clothes, games, and toys have been donated by London Latvian families and their schoolmates, colleagues and friends (by the way, if you have any unwanted Christmas gifts, any toys or clothes that you would like to give away, we can collect them from your home before 7 February, when they will be transported to Latvia (free of charge, courtesy of local carrier airBaltic) for distribution to the crisis centres).

We are proud to reconfirm that not a penny was spent on administration or pay to the volunteers arranging the campaign!
